Annabelle 03:18
Wake up, kiss your face and I pretend we have a bit more time The sun will come up soon and we'll be forced back into separate lives I don't wanna go, I belong here in your arms Let me close the shades and I'll stay for a little while We could just sleep the day off, Annabelle I know you well, and I know that you could use a little more of me We could stay right where we are, Annabelle I know you well, oh Annabelle You work as if you never knew that you could stop and take a break You're twenty two years young so don't be scared to go and act your age I get that you have bills, and making rent is hard enough But money isn't happiness and right now what you need is love We could just sleep the day off, Annabelle I know you well, and I know that you could use a little more of me We could stay right where we are, Annabelle I know you well, oh Annabelle Oh Annabelle, don't you know that you're loved By the moon and the stars, and me Especially me, Annabelle please We could just sleep the day off, Annabelle I know you well, and I know that you could use a little more of me We could just sleep the day off, Annabelle I know you well, and I know that you could use a little more of me I could stay by you till the end of the day, till the end of our days Oh Annabelle

My father took me out of school when I was 15 Said “It’s time you become a man” All the sudden things got a lot harder than they seemed Sent me to work, took away my plans Then from that day on, I sang this hopeless song No high school for me, No college degree Here’s to the man that i’ll never be 6 years past, inside of Mike's bar Where me and my friends drink out our days She's summer wind behind the counter I watch her turn the drunken boys away She looked me in the eye, said “You could be my guy” That was when I knew, my drinking days were through Here’s to the man that i’ll never be In the hospital on a Tuesday Afternoon A moving picture on the screen The Doctor says “You’ll be meeting your son soon" You were born July 16th Then from that day on, I knew what must be done I’d work through all my days, so you can find your way Here’s to the man that I’ll never be My son I want to tell you, You’ll never be like me You’ll chase your dreams and live your life as free as you could be I’m always here to help you, I’ll always do my best This life is yours to lead, I’ll support your every step Here’s to the man that i'll never be I watched you grow, I watched you pave your way I watched you follow your own heart My son you know, I’m more proud than I can say And I Just hope that I’ve done my part I hope you find, a sweetheart just like mine Who helped me stand, and made me who I am Here’s to the man that i'll never be You stood still as I was lowered down You, your boy, and the family Hey, I do wish that i could stick around But God he has a plan for me You say “Daddy has passed on, but the legacy lives on” “I wish you all could see, just what he did for me” “Here’s to the man that i’ll never be"

She said get up and dance  I'm alone on the floor  You're too much in your head It was me you were looking for I’m a little bit stressed Maybe not feeling enough in my chest Hope and I pray that my head won't cut off my hearts flow
Torn soul if we're telling the truth Cut down by my own abuse  But you’re what I need to make it through
I'm speaking nonsense to walls  And getting lost in it all  Take an identity of which I'll never be sure  I'm the victim of my own disease  Locked my heart and threw the keys  Won’t you be my cure
Speak to masses as i walk on coals  Afraid to stay on one for too long I’m in one spot, so show me to hold Onto the people in life worth living for
I know I've got a lot to live for Push myself on through that open door ‘Cause It's our world to conquer
I'm speaking nonsense to walls  And getting lost in it all  Take an identity of which I'll never be sure  I'm the victim of my own disease  I locked my heart and threw the keys  Won’t you be my cure I'm speaking nonsense to walls  And getting lost in it all  Take an identity of which I'll never be sure  I'm the victim of my own disease  I locked my heart and threw the keys  Won’t you be my cure
